Horizon 2020 - ENLIVEN

Encouraging Lifelong Learning for an Inclusive and Vibrant Europe

Abstract of Deliverable No. 7.2

The report compares the outcomes of three implemented case studies on recently founded, youth-led social movement organisations (SMOs). The organisations studied include The Charter of Social Rights of Basque Country (Spain), a local coalition of social movements (2013 onwards) fighting for broadening social rights, expanding public services and safeguarding access to decent work, in particular for young people, and two SMOs working within the Adult Learning Sector in Austria and the Slovak Republic, namely, an association of adult teachers in the fields of German as a second language and adult basic education in Austria and association for professionals in career guidance development in the Slovak Republic. While the organisations under study are very different, all of them are working towards the improvement of working and employment conditions in early career phases and apply a moderate, conventional repertoire of contention. Analysis of the case studies follow a framework outlined in the related ENLIVEN report D7.1.
